August 28, 2014:

All drama students need to see Coach Burton today for an updated schedule. T-shirt money is due by tomorrow.

August 27, 2014:
Congratulations to the RNR JV football team on winning their first 2 games of the season. They beat Unicoi County and Greeneville. Awesome job by the JV team. Keep up the excellent work.
The Lady Redskins defeated Liberty Bell yesterday in two straight sets behind Tatum's hits and kills off the outside. The team is now 3 and 1 with Church Hill coming to our gym tomorrow after school. Letís keep those winning streaks alive ladies.
Are you a creative person? Do you like to draw? Do you have a passion for art? Then consider joining the art club. Art club is open to any 6th, 7th, and 8th grade student interested in joining. Come to a very brief information meeting after school on Friday 8/29 at 2:50 in the art room for more information.
The lady redskins JV volleyball team won yesterday against Liberty Bell 25-19 and 25-10. They will face church hill tomorrow at home at 5:00
August 26, 2014:
The Lady Redskins lost the first set last night but fought back and won the second and third sets to finally defeat the Lady Blue Devils behind Samís 6 kills and 5 hits with 100% serving. The teams head to Liberty Bell today to parry with the Patriots. Go Lady Redskins!

August 22, 2014:
The JV volleyball team beat T.A. Dugger yesterday with scores of 25-21 and 25-10. Sophie F. had 13 serving points while Sophia W. was a blocking beast at the net. The ladies now have a record of 2 wins and no losses. Good job JV Redskins!
The Lady Redskins varsity volleyball team defeated the Lady Cyclones in 2 sets last night in Elizabethton. Laurenís strong net play and outstanding serves helped seal the deal. There will be 3 games next week. Go Lady Redskins!

August 20, 2014:
Builders Club will have its 2nd informational meeting this Thursday morning, August 21st at 7:10. We will be taking nominations for club officers during this meeting. The meeting will be held in Mrs. Johnsonís room (room 109).
The JV volleyball team defeated the Sevier Lady Warriors in 2 games. They won the first game 25-16 with Mykenzie T. racking up 7 service points. The Redskins were down 11-18 in the second game but Hannah D. lead the girls to victory by serving 13 consecutive points to win the game. Great job team! They will be traveling to TA Duggar on Thursday, August 21st.

August 18, 2014:
The Lady Redskins Volleyball team gained some great experience this weekend and took 2nd place at the ETSU tournament. Out of 25 teams, RNR placed 2nd which is awesome! Well done, ladies. The season opener is Tuesday, August 19th against Sevier after school. The JV game will start at 4:30. Come and support your Lady Redskins!

August 13, 2014:
Do you like helping others? Are you trustworthy? Are you in 7th or 8th grade?
If you answered YES to any of these questions then come by the Counseling Office and pick up an application to be an RNR NATURAL HELPER.
All applications must be returned to the Counseling Office no later than August 20th.
Eastman is having its 35th Annual Road Race on Friday, September 5th for any student ages 2-14 years old. If you need more information, see Coach Burton or go to Eastmanís website.

August 12, 2014:
Attention all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students ĖAre you a natural born leader? Do you want to learn more about what it means to be a leader? Are you interested in technology or teaching others how to use technology? If you have answered yes to any or all of these questions, then ROBINSON has a club for youÖ.Itís BUILDERS CLUB!!! Builders Club is a service and leadership organization which allows students to ĎBuildí themselves as leaders within their school, community, and world. Additionally, Builders Club is involved with events such as the Canned Food Drive, Angel Tree, and Technology Night. Builders Club will be having an informational meeting this Thursday morning, August 14th, at 7:10 in Mrs. Johnsonís room (Room 109). If you are at all interested in being part of this leadership and service organization, please join us on Thursday morning. If you have any questions prior to this meeting, please see Mrs. Johnson in room 109.
There will be an informational meeting for anyone interested in swimming for the middle school swim team. The meeting will be Thursday, August 14th, directly after school in the library. If you cannot attend the meeting, please see Ms. Waters.

August 11, 2014:
There will be cross country practice today, rain or shine. Dress out and meet in Coach Diamondís room.

New Praise and Worship Choir will meet Tuesday mornings in the choir room when the breakfast bell rings. Any student may attend. Come join us for this student led praise and worship choir.

If any 7th or 8th grade student is interested in being a peer tutor in the STARS program (Students Teaching and Reaching Students); they need to come by Mrs. Hiteís room #116 before or after school this week to pick up information.

August 8, 2014:

FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) will begin meeting next Wednesday morning, August 13th at 7:15 in the Auxillary Gym. Join us for a morning of praise, music, and devotion. All are welcome!!

August 4, 2014:
Attention any 7th or 8th grade girl interested in trying out for volleyball: Tryouts will begin TODAY from 3-5. 6th grade girls will try out tomorrow, TUESDAY, August 5th, from 3-5.

Attention all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade boys and girls interested in running Cross Country. There will be a meeting after school on Thursday, August 7th in the small gym. The meeting will last until 3:30. If you have any questions, please see Coach Diamond in room 120. Only the first 200 runners will be accepted! Be a part of the Lean, Mean, Big Blue Running Machineís winning tradition!

The Robinson Drama Team will present the Hunchback of Notre Dame. Tryouts will be August 5th-August 8th from 2:45-4:30 in the auditorium. If you have any questions, please see Coach Burton.
