March 25-26, 2015:
Any Science Exploration students who wish to take home their roller coasters need to do so by this Friday, March 27th.
Congratulations to the 2015-2016 Robinson Cheerleaders!! They are: Maycee Baker, Carly Brooks, Danielle Burke, Braden DeBruin, Victoria Fish, Gracie Gibson, Morgan Hall, Amber Hunt, Hannah Hurd, Jasmine Hyde, Hailey Ketron, Abigail Lester, Anna Miller, Chandler Smith, Patience Smith, Kylie Vaughn, Akura Watts, and Sara Yarbor. Team captains are Keegan Bellamy and Lily Sewell. There will be an informational meeting in room 218, Thursday, March 26th from 3:00-3:15 regarding spring practices. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Sewell.
The Lady Redskins varsity softball team won against Sevier yesterday with a score of 13-3. Griffin pitched and struck out 8 batters. Allie and Reese were the hitters of the game. Allie went 3 for 4 with a triple, while Reese also went 3 for 4 with a double AND a triple. The team had a total of 15 hits with Peyton, Morgan, and Sarah each contributed 2 hits each. They also had 7 stolen bases. The JV softball team kept their undefeated record intact with a 16-3 win. They had 7 hits by Mo, Trinity, Sarah, and Reese. Judd pitched 1 inning, while Allie pitched 2 innings and struck 2 batters out. The ladies will play Liberty Bell today at 4:30 at Sevier.
Congratulations to our 7th and 8th grade band members on their concert festival performance on Wednesday. The performance received straight superior ratings! Way to go, RNR Band!


March 18, 2015:
Attention Students: Stem Night will be this Thursday, March 19th from 6:00-8:00 pm. Please join us as RNR students lead families in a variety of hands-on engineering projects. This fun evening will also include displays from the RNR Science Olympiad Team, Science Exploration classes and other student-designed engineering projects.
Students: Are you involved in intramurals, tutoring, or need a quick breakfast in the mornings? Then take advantage of RNRís Grab-n-Go Breakfast served daily from 7:05-7:15 am.


March 17, 2015
The Robinson Middle School Bridge Team won 1st place in the Kingsport Middle School Bridge Tournament. The Members of the Bridge Team are Zachary Davis, Marcus Espeland ,Val Giaudrone, Aaron Jackson, Chris Lowe, Aleah McCoy, Jacob Mai, Matthew Roark and Guhan Sambandam. The highest scoring pair of the tournament were from Robinson also, Chris Lowe and Matthew Roark. Bridge Club will not meet anymore this year. Congratulations on a great year!
The softball team had 2 wins yesterday over Sevier. The varsity team won 13-3. They had 16 totals hits. Griffin went 3 for 3 with a double, Baker went 3 for 4. Allie, Kimberlee and Peyton contributed 2 hits each. The JV softball team kept their perfect record and are now 4-0. Judd had her first career win on the mound and struck 3 batters out. Judd, Trinity, Abigail had a hit each, while Chloe went 2 for 2 with 2 hits and 3 stolen bases. Great job Lady Redskins!

March 16, 2015:
Robinsonís bridge team won 1st place at Kingsportís Middle School Bridge Tournament. Way to go Redskins!

March 13, 2015:
The JV softball team improved their record to 3 wins and no losses with wins over Greeneville and TA Dugger this week. Mo struck out 16 batters in the 2 games. Reese, Moore, Judd, and Deal all contributed hits to those wins. Varsity finished the week with a 1 and 3 record. G added 5 strikeouts from the mound, while Allie continues to pick off base runners from behind the plate. The softball team will play the Sevier Lady Warriors MONDAY at 4:30 at Sevier. Come out and cheer on the redskins as the face the Sevier Warriors.

March 12, 2015:
Any 6th or 7th grader who wants to try out for the 2015- 2016 cheerleading team needs to turn in concussion form by this Friday if you do not already have one on file. If you did not attend the student information meeting and are interested in trying out see Mrs. Sewell for more information. Tryouts will begin on Monday, March 16th, 2015.


March 10, 2015:
The Lady Redskins softball team opened their season yesterday against Vance. The varsity won 4-0 and the JV won 7-0. Griffin pitched and had 9 strike outs. Mo also pitched and had 11 strike outs. The bunting queen was Kimberlee. Allie threw 2 base runners out who were attempting to steal. The ladies will travel to Greeneville today to battle THE GREEN DEVILS. Good luck Lady Redskins!
There is a MANDATORY meeting in Mrs. Sewell's room (RM 218) after school on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 for 6th and 7th graders who want to try out for 2015 -16 RNR Cheerleading Squad.
DBHS Cheerleading Tryout Information: Mandatory Parent/Participant meeting will be held March 19th @ 6:00pm in the Little Theatre. Tryouts are April 14th-17th from 3:30-6:00 pm.
The football breakfast will be this Thursday, March 12th in the small gym. Please bring some doughnuts or juice to share with your teammates. We will start at 7:10 am.


March 9, 2015:
Congratulations to the DB Prep Winterguard which placed second at this weekendís competition at Sullivan South High School! Great job, ladies! Keep up the good work!
Congratulations to all RNR band students that participated in Solo and Ensemble Festival this past Saturday. We participated in almost 60 events and brought home numerous superior ratings. Great job!
Attention Students: Track tryouts today will be for those interested in the 800 meter run. Tryouts for tomorrow will be for those interested in sprints and Wednesday for anyone who has tried out for any event and the 1600 meter run.
DBVB weightlifting and conditioning for upcoming freshmen will start today, March 9th, from 3:15 to 4:30. Meet in the DB Dome lobby.

Congratulations to the RNR Science Olympiad Team who placed 2nd in regional competition on Saturday and have now earned a spot in the state competition to be held at the University of Tennessee in April. 3rd Place Medals were earned in the following events: Air Trajectory-Abby Nash and Vikram Nathan, Disease Detectives-Matthew Espeland and Nikhil Chatra, Robo Cross-Matthew Espeland and Julian Chastain, Simple Machines-Luke Anderson and Julian Chastain, and Write It, Do It-Abby Nash and Vincent Gould. 2nd Place Medals were earned in the following events: Anatomy and Physiology-Abby Nash and Katie Tran, Bio Process Lab-Vikram Nathan and Nikhil Chatra, Bottle Rocket-Matthew Barnicki and Vincent Gould, Bridge Building-Matthew Espeland and Nikhil Chatra, Crave the Wave-Jessica Winkler and Matthew Espeland, Elastic Launched Glider-Rachel Rivera and Randall Lupi, Green Generation-Rachel Rivera and Vincent Gould, and Meteorology-Kevin Loo and Julian Chastain.

March 4, 2015:
Over the weekend in middle Tennessee, Gabe Hawkins placed 3rd and Jackson Hurst placed 6th at the Tennessee Wrestling AAU state tournament! Listen to announcements for information on the upcoming awards celebration. If you have headgear, hoodies, or singlets to turn in, Mr. Frye will be accepting them through Thursday. If not turned in, a bill will be mailed home to parents.
There will be a player information meeting on Friday, March 20th at 3:05pm in the D-B Cafeteria, for girls wishing to tryout for the 2015 girls soccer team. This should only last a few minutes. Players will be receiving information regarding upcoming preseason and season team activities.
Any 6th or 7th grade student who was unable to attend the RNR Dance Team Try-out informational meeting Monday needs to see Mrs. Reynolds by the end of the week. Dance Team try-outs start Monday, March 9th.

March 2, 2015:
Baseball tryouts will begin this week. All tryout days will be held at the hitting cages at DB from 6:30-8:15. 6th graders will try out today, 7th graders will try out tomorrow, and 8th graders will try out on Thursday. On Saturday, March 7th, all grades will try out. The time will be announced later in the week. Tryout dates will also be listed on the website. See Coach Stokely for any information.
Any 6th or 7th grader interested in trying out for next yearís cheerleading squad needs to attend an informational meeting this Thursday, March 5th in room 218 from 3:00-3:30.
