January 26-27, 2015:
There will be a play day for all soccer teams this week. Girls will play on Tuesday and boys on Wednesday in the small gym from 3:00-4:30.
There will be a meeting on Wednesday February the 4th at 3:30 in the dome for students who are wanting to try-out for Dobyns- Bennett Volleyball.
Out of the 10 teams that wrestled Saturday, Robinson placed 5th. 8 out of 11 varsity wrestlers placed and won medals. Seth, Cade, and Caleb placed 4th; Gabe and Jackson placed 3rd; Matthew and Logan placed 2nd; and winning gold for varsity was Isaiah Dowdy! Jeremiah, Shane and Austin all won gold medals for JV. Phillip Burgess, Lucas Malone, Braxton Whelchel, and Anthony Greer all wrestled very well to help their team. Great season Redskins! Turn in all equipment by Friday.
The RNR Builders clubs is taking candy donations of gummy bears, sweet-tarts, valentine’s-day hearts and hard candy - NO Chocolate- to send to the troops for Valentine’s Day.
Please bring your candy to the donation box in the auditorium in the mornings. Please bring any candy donations during the day to Mrs. Penny Cameron or Mrs. E. Johnson. Again the candy and Valentine's Day Cards will go to support our troops.
Builders Club will have a special meeting Thursday, Jan. 29th in room 109 at 7:15.
Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grader interested in playing baseball needs to attend a brief meeting after school this Thursday, Jan. 29th in the small gym. For more information or if you are unable to attend, see Coach Stokely. The meeting will end at 3:30.

January 23, 2015:
Congratulations to 8th grader Matthew Barnicki on winning the Robinson Geography Bee. Matthew advances to the state level competition. Congratulations Matthew!
Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade boy or girl interested in running track should attend a sign up and informational meeting next Tuesday morning, January 27th at 7:15 am in the small gym. If you cannot attend or have a question, please see Coach Burton or Coach Bingham.
Try-outs will begin on Monday, February 2nd and will be by your grade level. 7th & 8th graders will try out Monday, February 2nd and 6th graders will try out Tuesday, February 3rd .
*Make sure you have the physical and concussion forms turned in PRIOR to try-outs. Come prepared to be INSIDE or OUTSIDE. More information is posted on the softball webpage. See Coach Mullins if you have any questions.

January 22, 2015:
All boys and girls playing indoor soccer need to pick up their information packet from Coach Burton today or tomorrow.

January 20, 2015:
Saturday at Science Hill, the RNR wrestling team faced a challenge like no other this year. With only half of the team healthy enough to wrestle, the team placed 4th in the conference tournament! Braxton Whelchel and Austin Newman placed 4th. Caleb Fields and Cade Allen took 3rd, respectively. Logan Greenway took 2nd. Placing first and earning the title of conference champs are Matthew Frye, Gabe Hawkins, and Jackson Hurst. On the JV team, CJ Newton came in 2nd place while Jeremiah Cutshall and Lucas Malone both earned 1st place medals. Way to go Redskins! The team travels to Church Hill tonight to wrestle Happy Valley and Church Hill at 6:30.
Congratulations to Vikram Nathan the winner of the RNR Spelling Bee. Vikram will represent Robinson at the Regional Spelling Bee in Knoxville.
Congratulations to the RNR Band students that made the East Tennessee School Band & Orchestra Association Upper Area Junior High School Band Clinic at auditions on January 17th. All students that auditioned on Saturday did a wonderful job representing Robinson.

January 13, 2015:
Participants in the RNR Oral Spelling Bee need to report to the auditorium at 8:15 on Friday morning.

January 12, 2015:
Try-outs for the Dobyns-Bennett Middle School Winterguard will be Monday, January 12th through Wednesday, January 14th at the DB band room. Tryouts will last from 3:30-5:00. You should wear dance or athletic clothing. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Bratton or Mrs. Heaton.

January 9, 2015:
Earlier This week, RNR Wrestling defeated Church Hill 60 to 18. RNR defeated Greeneville in a very close match 45 to 42 last night. To finish the night, RNR won the city championship for the victory against Sevier, leaving them scoreless, 81 to zero!!!!! The following wrestlers pinned their opponents to the mat: Gabe Hawkins, Jackson Hurst, CJ Newman, Phillip Burgess, Cade Allen, Nate Hawkins, Matthew Frye, Logan Greenway, Austin Newman, Caleb Fields, Noah Hale, Seth Thomas, Braxton Whelchel, Gabe Whetsell, Jeremiah Cutshall, and Isaiah Dowdy. Anthony Grear and Shane Lemons both won a match by decision. Thank you to all of those who came out and supported this awesome team last night!

Intramurals will resume on Monday. Schedules and rosters are posted on the website and the intramural bulletin board.

Any boy or girl interested in participating in this year’s indoor soccer league, please see Coach Burton sometime today or Monday.

The RNR Chess Club finished the Winter Tournament yesterday and the overall winner was Arnab Dey with a ranking of Senior and 734 points. The runner up was Phillip Edwards with a rank of Senior and 705 points. In third place was Jason Carter also with the rank of Senior and 717 points. All club members played well and several promotions were given. Congratulations to all of the RNR Chess Club members.

Attention Students: Middle School Winter Guard try-outs will begin this coming Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 3:30-5:30 at the DB Band Building. This group is for both Robinson and Sevier students in grades 6-8. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Heaton or Mrs. Bratton.

January 6, 2015:
If you are planning on trying out for the Dobyns-Bennett middle school winter guard, try-out dates have changed due to scheduling conflicts. Middle school winter guard try-outs will be January 12th, 13th and 14th from 3:30 - 5:30 at the DB band building. This group is for both Robinson and Sevier students in grades 6-8. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Heaton or Mrs. Bratton.

Spirit Week begins this week. Today is twin or mismatch day. Wednesday is nerd or character day. Thursday is tacky tourist or beach theme day and Friday is black out day. Remember, the school dress code applies.
